My web site is being very unkind at the moment so will add some newies to the blog until it starts to behave itself.
This is a goodie from Lynne Wilson Designs. A great one for the kids or maybe make it for the car or the caravan - a quilt in a pillow. So, so easy, l haven't made it but it looks very easy, trust me. Measures approximately 50" x 69" and it all folds into a lovely cushion. Pattern available for $10.00 plus postage.
If you looked in the Classes Album you'll see that this class was scheduled for March 25th, if you are dissspointed about missing it stop worrying right now. The editor of the blog (that would be me) wrote the wrong date, it's actually May 25th, the Saturday after next. Let me know if you'd like to join us.
Thanks to some wonderful customers l have tracked down and ordered some Stable Bag patterns. They are being posted this afternoon, fingers crossed they'll be here by Monday. Have already sold one to my mate Fat Quarter.
Just let me explain her name. She came with me to the Roller Derby last Saturday night. We had a great night and decided to create a virtual team called the Mad Quilters. Of course to be in the team you need a name, l am Rotary Cutter and Lisa has chosen Fat Quarter. If you want to sign up let me know your skating name.
I can picture you shaking your head while you read this and thinking that l have got too much time on my hands.
Sold yesterday's wool, so here are 5 more colours for you to drool over, they are $5.50 a piece.
Starting from the left, be warned l am making up the names of the colours as l go, they don't actually have names. Jade Green, Forest Green, Mid Brown, Harvest Orange, Cardinal Red. Pretty fancy really considering l named our children Tom and Sam.
I am trying to find and email address/ website for The Villiage Quilt Shop in Mittagong. They have a fabulous bag called The Stunning Stable Bag which l would love to get. If anyone can put me onto a site l'd been a happy lady.
On a brighter note let me share these new pieces of dyed wool that arrived last Thursday with you. They are yum, yum, yummy.
Start from the left hand side, we have purple, pink, red, green and plum. I have lots of others, don't really know how to present them to you any other way as they don't have names. They are $5.50 a piece and a piece is about 10"x7', give or take a whisker. I don't want to straighten them up and waste those whiskers. I am going to start using them in my new projects. In the meantime take a peek.
One of my girls has just withdrawn from the Let's Celebrate Swap. She sent her first gift and received nothing, her partner didn't even acknowledged she'd received her gift. There was nothing for Mother's Day either. I am pleased to say that she was waiting to see if anything arrived before she sent her parcel off.
I had another partner on standby but she has decided not to take me up on that offer. Sad really, no one forces people to sign up for these swaps. I don't believe there was anything wrong with this lady, when l got in touch with her after the first present she just said that her gift must have got lost in the mail. I wonder.....
Sorry about being so grumpy this early in the morning, but it's dissapointing when something like this happens.

One of my customers would like to do a quilt with Aussie animals on it. Does anyone know of such a pattern l can get in for her? Thanks heaps dear friends.
To all those mums who are reading this blog. I hope you have had a wonderful day and there was a bit of spoiling.
I was determined to have a nice day today, l think l mentioned last week that Sam said that the pub where he works would be too busy for us to call in. He rang first thing this morning and we have organised a night week after next so that was a nice start to the day.
Fifty Shades brought me in a cup of coffee and gave me a lovely card. Turned out he picked up a birhthday card rather than a Mother's Day card, that made me smile. He wrote a lovely note as well. We went to a market and he didn't wander off or complain once.. Called into our local shopping centre and picked up a suitcase and a new handbag to take on holidays.
Don't know if l mentioned it but Tom sent a lovely card last week. So l am smiling, it was a lovely day. Hope yours was too.
I have a basket of very nice wool in all the colours of the rainbow. They are all packed up and ready to be taken to a show in Heathmont tomorrow. I'll share a pic tomorrow night.
Karen's her swap partner. A quote from Kerrie's email....Couldn't wait to open my goodies which were all wrapped in individual blue and white parcels. Gorgeous! I love this swap!
