It all began …..

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. Once upon a time I was a teacher. On our way to watch the mighty Saints play one day, Sandy, my girlfriend, suggested I open a shop. “What type of shop?” was my response. “A patchwork shop” she answered. To be honest, I’d always thought I’d love to work for myself, but never considered it seriously. But by the end of the day I decided why not? I ran it past Ray, my husband, and he was encouraging. Remember we were just going to watch a game of footy with some mates and Ray and I had never taken a risk. How your life can change in the blink of an eye. So the planning began. I planned every detail and on March 21st, 2004 we opened Mrs Martin’s Quilt Shop. And as Dr Phil says, that was a changing day in my life.
