The question on everyone's lips..... I love ric rac and sell it in all colours and sizes, my fav would have to be the linen ric rac. Have never known how you measure the width of the different ric racs until now.
Great to use when doing embroidery, simply run through your printer, press onto your background fabric and start stitching.
Then simply remove by submerging in warm water, agitate for 2 - 3 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
Today is the last day for those of you thinking of taking part in Cyber Stitching to sign up. This will allow me time to get in extra bits and pieces and to package up the kits. So if you don't want to miss out let me know.
If you are thinking about coming on June 21st there's still some places available, again just email me.
Now that we are ready to offer a new Block of the Month thought l should tell you how we run them at Mrs Martin's.
Anni's Pocket Full of Posies will be available on the 4th Monday of each month. You can opt to provide us with your Credit Card details and we will deduct the payment including postage on that Monday. The pattern will then be posted by the end of that day. You may want me to invoice you via PayPal, l will do this on the Friday before your blocks are due to be posted. Your pattern will be posted on the day we receive payment.
There will be what we call Fabric Starter Kits. Each of the kits is made up of fat 1/ 8ths or fat 1/ 4's, enough to complete the whole quilt top. We also include borders and binding, this will be included in the cost of the kit. The price is for fabric only and can be split in half with the first 2 patterns you receive. That way the cost of the fabric is paid over 2 months. I will let you know the cost of the Starter Kits as soon as l know what the fabric requirements are.
By the way for those of you who don't know we offer Blocks of the Month from Leanne's House, Gail Pan Designs, SewJo Designs, Rosalie Quinlan Designs, the Birdhouse, Kookaburra Cottage and the list goes on. These are always available, if you want details please don't hesitate to email me and l will provide them. There are Fabric Starter Kits available for most BOMs.
Got some more information for you about Anni's new Block of the Month, Pocket Full of Posies.
It's a 10 month program and it is going to cost (inc GST).....AUD$11.00 per month, that's correct $11.00 per month. A great price for a BOM don't you think? It should be available in a couple of weeks and that is all straight from the horses mouth (hee hee hee, sorry Pete).
I've got to go and tidy up the shop, but will be back shortly to explain how we run our Block of the Months at Mrs Martin's.
If you want to sign up l am only an email away. There will be Fabric Starter Kits available. As soon as l find out the requirments l will let you know the price.
By now you've probably all see Anni Downs new Block of the Month - Pockets of Posies. If you haven't visit www.hatchedandpatched.typepad.com And the question is who is going to offer it as a Block of the Month? No surprises here. Of course Mrs Martin's Quilt Shop will be offer it as a Block of the Month as soon as it is released. At the moment l only know what you know. That it will be available in the next few weeks and that it is a 10 month program.
We are happy to send the project out to any one in the world. Will let you know more details as soon as they come to light. If you want to add your name to the list all you need to do is email me.
I can't believe l only discovered this oversight this morning. Gail Pan is one of our most popular designers at the shop. I was adding some of her new patterns to the blog today and discovered that she didn't have her own album. Well that is no longer so. See Gail's patterns in the Gail Pan Designs album.
Mmmmm, l can't believe l've overlooked this, sorry Gail.
Take a look at a newy from Gail Pan. (Does any one know the correct way of spelling newy by the way?) I know she's a favourite of many of you. For who are joining us for Sewing at St Georges and Cyber Stitching you will receive a pattern of Gail's in your goodie bag (spelling?). Will add the details to the New Patterns Album as soon as l get a moment.
For those of you who think the font on the blog is too small or too big you can custom change it to suit yourself. Just go down to the bottom right hand side of the screen, you will notice a %, click on the arrow and find a font size that suits you.
Now you probably already know how to do that but l am sure there are some out there who like me didn't. Let me know what my blog looks like at 200%, hee, hee, hee.
March, April, May Calendar I am away from Saturday April 15th until Monday May 8th. going on a road trip with seven other ladies from Chicago to Nashville. Along the way there will be a quilt shop or 2 and 4 days at the Paducah Quilt Market. I will be posting my adventures on the blog and Facebook.
