The Renovations.....

We have been waiting to have our ensuite to be renovated by a friend. He started work last week. I can't believe it, this smallest room in the house, yet mess seems to have infiltrated the whole house. On day one Allan had to pull up the slate. It came up easily and so we decided that we would pull up the slate in the kitchen and the sun-room. And Saturday was the day. I knew it was going to be messy, BUT!

At the end of the day l had to pull down a small brick wall (just to prove l could!). All was going well until l dropped 3 bricks on my toe. I was too scared to take my boots off to see what damage l had done, l am such a sook. Can't stand blood, mine or any one else's. Anyway I have a very black toe that hurts when l walk. The throbbing has stopped l am pleased to say and I should be able to walk properly by the end of the week.

And yes the house looks like a bomb has hit it. But Ray and l keep telling ourselves it will all be worth it in the end.

reminds me of xmas day approx 15 years ago, opened up the pressies then proceeded to demolish the kitchen,finally had a new sink in by new year as we decided to have a new years bash,laundry became the kitchen and had to walk the plank occasionally,as the only way to get from the old kitchen to the laundry was via the plank.I think I am due for an update,kitchen that is.
