The question on everyone's lips..... I love ric rac and sell it in all colours and sizes, my fav would have to be the linen ric rac. Have never known how you measure the width of the different ric racs until now.
Great to use when doing embroidery, simply run through your printer, press onto your background fabric and start stitching.
Then simply remove by submerging in warm water, agitate for 2 - 3 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
I have got a lovely weekend planned. We are laying the new floor in the kitchen and dining room tomorrow. On Sunday l am putting my Christmas decorations up. I might even take a pic ot 2 and let you see the end result.
My Wednesday Sewing Circle ladies have decided to have a Christmas decoration swap this year. We've known about it for weeks and it is next week. The Trade Fair and Cyber Stitching are behind us. So at Monday Sewing Circle I decided to get mine started. In fact l finished it.
It's a pattern from Hatched and Patched, I think there are 6 decs in all. Anni pops stuffing in hers. I didn't. I added an extra felt border instead. I can also imagine it in a small frame, no glass.
Take a look. If you are a Wednesday girl please close your eyes.
We had our stitching day - Nick of Time last Saturday. There were a couple of glitches with the Cyber Stitching, my mistakes in fact so can't blame anyone else. Stina's parcel did not arrive. I thought l had allowed plenty of time. And l left out some of the girls name tags which will be in the mail today. My apologies for both blunders.
Here in Monbulk the day was perfect. We had 22 ladies stitching in the local church hall. We dined on Moroccan Chicken and Lemon Pie, both yummy (recipes will be available in the next day or two on the blog). Everyone seemed happy with their parcels. We met some new friends, Maria and Dianne who drove from the other side of town and Joy.
It's my last big thing to organise for the year. Will begin the newsletter in the next couple of days and do some catch up book work. Please note that is the last thing on my priority list.
Thanks to all who took part in the sewing day and the Cyber Stitching. You are welcome to do it all again in June.
Thanks for the pic Kerry - Julie and me mucking around.
Catchy little heading isn't it. Think l might copyright it.
The church is all set up bar a few finishing touches. I am now going home to share a bottle of bubbles with that man of mine. And then it's off to bed. Need all the sleep l can get because tomorrow is Cyber Stitching Day. Women all over the world will be going through their parecls trying to decide which project they will work on. They have 4 to choose from.
We also have a group joining us at the local church, including two Red Hat ladies. Kerry has promised she will come decorated in her red and purple. She knows l love that!
Hope the ladies who are taking part, no matter where they are in the world have a fab day.
March, April, May Calendar I am away from Saturday April 15th until Monday May 8th. going on a road trip with seven other ladies from Chicago to Nashville. Along the way there will be a quilt shop or 2 and 4 days at the Paducah Quilt Market. I will be posting my adventures on the blog and Facebook.
The shop will be closed during that time.
