And after Kid's Class.....

Ray and l went out to a nice little eatery in Emerald called The General Store Trader. It's just new and l love it already. Then we tried out the new ice creamery that opened on Monday. Can recommend the coffee ice cream

Now sit down before you read what l did next.....l baked a batch of chocolate chip biscuits. Honestly l can't remember the last time l made a batch of biscuits. I also cooked dinner, a baked spud with coleslaw and all the other trimmings. Not Master Chef l know, but l didn't ruin it.

No wait there's more. I have been working on the new web site. Not too long to go until we launch it.

Kid's Class.....

We had our school holidays kid's class this morning - each child is accompanied by an adult. The project was an owl. It could be used as a heat bag, fill it with lavender and pop it in your undies draw or just have it as something to cuddle.

I let the kids go through my button bucket. Those owls now all have the most stunning looking eyes, not all pairs. The kids all finished their projects and had a great time.

The weather.....

We are having some real Spring weather here. Sunny one day and rain the next. Perfect for stitching.

The best surprise......

I think l may be the last person to know Granny Loz has been visiting Gail Pan since last Friday. Knew Gail was heading up today and bringing Lorraine with her. Thought about Lorraine from SA and then dismissed that idea.

Well, Gail did visit and she brought Lorraine - Granny Loz! It felt like l was meeting a long lost friend. It was so lovely to have her call in and visit the new shop, she never made it to the old one, perhaps this is a good omen.

Made a  cuppa and we sat and had a lovely chat.

Tom....

He's leaving on a jet plane, don't know when he'll be back again.

I had a bit of a cry as they left this morning, and now it's time to open the shop.

Today's the day.....

Our son Tom is moving out of his house today. He's back here for the night and then heads off to New Zealand tomorrow to meet up with Laura from England. They decided just before she left about 6 months ago that they maybe they were a little more than friends. So they are catching up in NZ. 

I am excited for him but l'll also miss him terribly. It's always been nice to know that he's only a 40 minute drive away.
