I have just added.....

February's 12 Months of Christmas. A small gift bag called The Christmas Goose from Hatched and Patched. It's available as pattern only or a Starter Kit which includes the pattern.

It's cute can be stitched in night or two and made up in an hour or so.

What's happening in February?

We have a couple of beginners classes, there's also the Westalee class. Michelle is offering a Mystery Quilt class at the end of the month. For details check the newsletter, for dates check the calendar.

I have some vacancies in the Monday Sewing Circle, 9.30am - 11.30am, let me know if you are interested.

My world.....

If you come up to visit Mrs Martin's Quilt Shop there are plenty of other things in The Hills you might enjoy as well. I have started an Album called A Day in The Hills, it will give you the contact details and tell a little bit about the place.

Ray and l have lived in Emerald for almost 30 years. We enjoy discovering local places, thought l'd share some of them with you.

There's lots more I'd like to share with you, places like nurseries, cafes and Op Shops just to name a few. Will add more to the Album as soon as l take pics of the places. It's always best to know what you are looking for.

If any locals are reading this let me know of places you would recommend and I'll add them.

I know.....

That l haven't given February 29 days, have tried to change it and it's not working. Am not game to keep trying. Maybe tomorrow.

The cyber fairies......

Have been hard at work. I walked away and paid some bills. Came back to have another go and the calendar is now on line, yippee.

Might go back to bed....

Each month l add a calendar to the blog. February's is all ready to go. I have tried to publish it, just as l do every month. Nothing, tried again, nothing.

If you can hear a sound, it's me screaming!

So if there is a Typepad expert out there, give me a call.

Samples.....

I am lucky enough to have a lot of Gail Pan's samples on display this week. If you are passing through call in and see them in flesh. they will inspire you. There are a lot of smaller projects that you'll be able to finish in no time.

Couldn't wait.....

I have added the first project to the Christmas Angel Album. There's a pic of a couple of cards l received a few years ago - couldn't possibly throw them out. Hope they inspire you.

Remember my motto, it's never too early to start Christmas.

Christmas Angels.....

Late last week l finished pairing up the Christmas Angels and let them know who their swap partner was and what they liked. There are 54 ladies taking part in the swap.

I thought l might add the list of goodies to be made to the blog, one each month. There are plenty of stitching groups out there, you may like to pair the ladies in your group up and run the Christmas Angel swap yourselves. Or you might like to make the projects for stitching freinds for Christmas.

Out and About.....

Late last year l was invited to the Phillip Island Patchworkers Quilt In. Well that happened yesterday. Took Lisa from Fig n Berry Designs down with me and we had a wonderful day.

Eighty ladies turned up to sew. We knew a  few faces and met many new ladies. Some were surprised to see that l was still operating. The word going around was that l wasn't allowed to operate from home. So it was nice to be able to squash that one.

The ladies put on a delicious spread, everyone brings a share plate. They came up and chatted and took cards so that they know where to find the shop and how to find us online.

It was a very pleasant day, fingers crossed we'll be invited back. I think one of the nicest comments l got was that what l had was a little different from other shops.

I had decided l would try to take the shop to small quilt shows around the place but hadn't thought about stitching days. After the great day we had yesterday that's another avenue l will be investigating.

We dumped everything in the shop when we got home last night so no prizes for guessing what l'll be doing today.
