The question on everyone's lips..... I love ric rac and sell it in all colours and sizes, my fav would have to be the linen ric rac. Have never known how you measure the width of the different ric racs until now.
Great to use when doing embroidery, simply run through your printer, press onto your background fabric and start stitching.
Then simply remove by submerging in warm water, agitate for 2 - 3 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
I am watching it again. Think l might take up singing lessons. Keith is still looking great. I will share two things with you. I know all the words to Paradise by the Dashboard Light, I couldn't tell you one Keith Urban song, but l am willing to listen. Can anyone recommend a couple of his songs so l can do some homework.
You may remember about 6 weeks ago we lost our little dog Sybil. When l moved the shop home Sybil became very much a part of it, she'd join in the Sewing Circles and would just sleep on the mat when there were no customers. I started referring to her as the Shop Dog. When Michelle came to work on Saturday she gave me a gift that she made.
I love it Michelle, it will go straight to the shop where it belongs.
How to mitre corners. Michelle worked yesterday and before she went home she walked me through mitred corners step by step. Today l added the borders to my Winding Ways block. Did everything she told me to do and it worked. They are close to perfect. Thanks Mish!
Just a cross section of things every woman should have or know by the time they turn 30. I reckon they are great for those of us who are over 30 as well. Picked out some of my favs.
When to try harder and when to walk away. That your childhood may not have been perfect - but it's over. That you can't change the length of your legs, the width of your hips or the nature of your parents. Who you can trust, who you can't and why you shouldn't take it personally. Not to apologise for something that isn't your fault.
A past juicy enough you're looking forward to retelling it in your old age. A handbag, a purse, a suitcase and an umbrella you're not afraid to carry. Something ridiculously expensive that you brought yourself just because. A set of screwdeivers, a cordless drill and a black lace bra. The belief you deserve it. One friend who always makes you laugh and one who lets you cry.
March, April, May Calendar I am away from Saturday April 15th until Monday May 8th. going on a road trip with seven other ladies from Chicago to Nashville. Along the way there will be a quilt shop or 2 and 4 days at the Paducah Quilt Market. I will be posting my adventures on the blog and Facebook.
The shop will be closed during that time.
