I am adding another one to my list. I don't know if this is doable but l'll give it a try.....From now on I will always know where my mobile phone is.
My friend always tries to catch me on it, by the time l have found the phone it's gone on to message bank. Most times however the phone is in the house and l am in the shop.
Yesterday l wanted to text some one. Looked for it everywhere, no luck. So l rang it. Didn't mention, l'd turned everything upside down looking for it, started with the usual places - the undies drawer and my handbag - nothing. Couldn't hear it ringing in the shop. Came into the house and tried again. Couldn't hear it in the bedroom or my office. Standing in the kitchen, could hear it faintly but couldn't find it so l gave up.
The friend l was wanting to text just happened to call in later that afteroon. Told her my problem, she just rolled her eyes - me losing my phone is a regular event as far as she's concerned. So we started in the house and followed the ringing. We ended up in the kitchen, ring seemed to be coming from the pantry. I've got a functional pantry by the way, six slide out drawers. The ringing seemed to be coming from there. One by one we slid the drawers out, started at the top and worked our way down to the bottom. Could still hear it but couldn't find it. At the very bottom of the pantry is our paper recycling tray. Yep, that's where it was. I was tidying up old Christmas cards, grabbed the ones that were to be recycled and threw them in the tub. It just happened that my phone was at the bottom of the pile.
There were 9 missed calls and 9 messages by the time l found it, all from us. I know where it is now by the way, it's on the charger, battery went flat with all the activity.

Maybe it has something to do with the surname but I lost my mobile phone before Christmas and found it in the pile of recyling going out to the bin. Thank goodness we don't put them on silent.
