The planning of the quilt show is well underway. This is the first of many posts to remind you about the show and keep you informed about what is happening.
I designed (yes me designing!) and made this quilt towards the end of last year and love the way it has turned out.
A couple of people to thank.
First of all Julie - for the idea. She'd seen one at another show and thought we could do the same for our show. In fact ours has turned out very differently.
Also have to thank Rowen, one of the CFA members who kindly let me have one of his old uniforms. As you can see l unpicked it and used as many bits of the uniform as l could. Have even used one of the pockets, bottom part of the quilt. We'll put some quilt show advertising in it as soon as l the sheet proofread and printed.
Thankyou also to the child in Ray's grade 3 who drew the fire truck for me, it's brilliant.
I also have my dear friend Leanne from the Thursday Sewing Circle to thank. She put the backing and binding on for me.
The quilt has been designed to fit on a door. We are hoping to move it around the shops in Monbulk to advertise the show. The door seemed a perfect place to hang it.
Stay tuned, l am ready to show you the quilt we will be raffling for the show. If l am very lucky my friend in Thursday's Sewing Circle just might offer to put the bindings on it for me.

Great job, you should be tickled pink with yourself. Any news on the Prim mag?
