The question on everyone's lips..... I love ric rac and sell it in all colours and sizes, my fav would have to be the linen ric rac. Have never known how you measure the width of the different ric racs until now.
Great to use when doing embroidery, simply run through your printer, press onto your background fabric and start stitching.
Then simply remove by submerging in warm water, agitate for 2 - 3 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
A friend of mine is clearing out her mum's house, she has gone into care - the mum that is, not my friend. She has an Empisal sewing machine that she hasn't got room for, ti comes with a table her dad made. She has offered it to me, she said if anyone wants to make a donation to the Monbulk CFA they are welcome to the machine. You would have to pick it up from Monbulk. Let me know if you are interested.
I have just been up to post a mag to a friend up in Queensland. The postage is usually $14 something. I have taken the pattern sheet out of the mag and posted it on its own. By doing that the postage is $4.10 all up. That is a win against Australia Post, a saving of about $10.00, yippee.
Singer use to have a machine called Empersol, Empersil or something similar. Can't find it on the internet, think it may be because l can't spell it properly. Can any one help with the correct name. I have one that l am trying to move on for a girlfriend.

One of my mates in the Thursday Sewing Circle picked up a Jelly Roll last week. She did the Jelly Roll 1800, think that's the name. Then cut it into 4. She cut and rearranged 3 of pieces and added borders and came up with these......
She has ended up with 4 floor quilts for new babies. They look fabulous.
This......It's called Starlight Starbright and is almost ready to be released. It's a pre print, yippee, so as soon as you get it you're ready to start. If you want to be one of the first to get your hands on it just let me know.
And this is another one.....
I am going to call it Blueberry Cottage. It's going to be released as a booklet and include patterns for a table runner and an ipad folder/ sewing project holder.
