My IPhone was meant to be up and running around midday yesterday. Well that didn't happen. I have been with 3 for years and no problems. They have changed to voda phone and l have no coverage. Phone works if l get in the cat and drive half a kilometre up the road, guess that's why it's called a mobile phone.
Apparently they are building more towers or something like that in April, it might work then. I am not a happy camper!

Lol! We signed up with 3 a couple of years ago. Same thing. Our phones didn't work. (We lived 7km from the CBD) Apparently we lived in a blackspot. That's ok, we were assured, they'll work once you leave home. Funny thing is the guy who signed us up knew where we lived AND knew we worked from home AND didn't have a landline. We went back to Telstra the next day. Coverage! 3 threatened that we would have to pay out the contract. As if! We told them they didn't actually have a service to sell us, therefore the contract was not worth the paper it was written on. Telcos! They're a laugh a minute!

Same thing happened to my friend. She was with 3 for years and never ever had any issues no matter where she wandered. When her contract came up and she wanted to upgrade she was switched to Vodafone and she has had problems ever since, dodgy phones and ever dodgier coverage - well none most of the time really. Did have to laugh though at the little typo of getting in the cat and taking the iPhone for a drive...got to ask, does the cat mind? ha ha ha (with you not at you it's the sort of thing I'd type!)...

Karen you still have time to pull out.
A. You always have a cooling off period with contracts usually 3 days.
B. As Kris said if they cannot provide you with a service then they are breaking the contract not you.
I had this drama with Rach and her new phone. Was told it would work in our area, it didnt. Went back got out of the contract.
You just need to push them, don't take any crap!!
Must be a big cat!! Does it have furry seats, ha ha

Yep, we gave vodafone the flick a few years back. We had to have good coverage for our business mobile phones, and trying to ring home to check on family whilst away in Central Victoria, and having no coverage was the last straw.
