The question on everyone's lips..... I love ric rac and sell it in all colours and sizes, my fav would have to be the linen ric rac. Have never known how you measure the width of the different ric racs until now.
Great to use when doing embroidery, simply run through your printer, press onto your background fabric and start stitching.
Then simply remove by submerging in warm water, agitate for 2 - 3 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
Have just paid for 2 tics to Europe - a week in London, a week in Paris and a week shared between Rome and Venice. 50 Shades is coming with me. I am pretty excited, my first time in that part of the world. Catching up with our son for a couple of days while we are in London. Yippee. If you've been and there are places you think l need to see or places l need to stay l'd love to hear from you.
I might start wearing a badge that says 'I survived the Stitching Soiree.' The day was brilliant. Our guests were lovely, the projects and goodie bags were fabulous and the food was delicious. But those girls ran me ragged. My bags and bags of crushed walnut shells went in a blink and the kits walked out the door. They loved the ric rac and they loved the new projects.
A great day had by all, l did not sit down at all and l must admit my feet were very sore by the end of the day. Was up at 6.15am this morning, straight into the shop to start unpacking the car. And why would l be doing that after the busy day l had yesterday. Might have something to do with the 3 1/ 2 hour snooze l had on the couch last night.
And it all starts again on Saturday, l will be at the Lang Lang Quilt Show on Saturday and Sunday.
Tomorrow I am off to the Stitching Soiree with a car full of stuff, hope it's the right stuff. There'll be 110 women locked in a room for the day, a dream come true for Mrs Martin.
I'll share Lisa and Jennifer's new designs over the weekend.
Have just ordered some copies of Marg Low's new book, that should be here early in the week.
And last but not least the next lot of patterns for the Sweet Stitches BOM by Kathy Schmitz arrived this afternoon, sorry girls l just ran out of time today but l will get onto that first thing Monday.
If you know anything about the Avery labels feel free to email me. I have used them for years, they have changed the sizes, just a smidge but l can't seem to be able to make labels to fit. Numbers on the box don't coincide with the numbers on the site.
March, April, May Calendar I am away from Saturday April 15th until Monday May 8th. going on a road trip with seven other ladies from Chicago to Nashville. Along the way there will be a quilt shop or 2 and 4 days at the Paducah Quilt Market. I will be posting my adventures on the blog and Facebook.
The shop will be closed during that time.
