Sunday......was our last day in London. I pulled up well after my fall on Saturday night. 50 Shades strapped my ankle and we set off for the day. The only thing on the list to do was the London Eye. Met up with Tom and Laura and set off. The river side was very busy, it was bank holiday weekend and there was a huge crowd waiting their turn for the Eye. While we were in the queue we decided if the wait was going to be too long we'd come back once we saw Tom and Laura off, however the women selling the tics suggested the wait would be 25 minutes and the ride another 25 minutes. Apparently each full trip on the Eye takes 800 people and she said there weren't 800 people in the queue. She was spot on. The whole adventure took about an hour. The pods were not crowded so there was plenty of space to move around and see the whole of London from every angle, best thing, l didn't fall out.
We had a lazy afternoon, a couple of hours in another little London pub before we said our goodbyes and Tom and Laura headed off to catch their bus to Exeter. There were tears and l felt a little flat once we separated, we now just wait for them to decide what their future is.
Had dinner at the little pub around the corner from where we are staying and then off to bed.
It's 6.20am London time, we leave London at 11.00, catching the Eurostar to Paris, goodbye London, bonjour Paris.
