We've become very fond of the hotel we are staying in and the surrounding neighbourhood.
The staff at the hotel have warmed to us and they are beginning to understand our sense of humour. It all started on our second day when we asked for our key....... we leave the key every time we leave the hotel. We asked for 302, the young man seem a bit flustered, then asked for our name, then smiled and told us that we were in room 207. We weren't even close. We went out again later in the evening and he just smiled when we gave him the correct room number, l took a bow and he clapped. It's now become a bit of a thing.
When we came in tonight, l said my usual bonjour and the young man smiled. His boss told me that it was actually bonsoir. I asked what time does it officially become bonsoir.....apparently it's at 6.00. So l hurried out the door, returned arms out wishing every one bonsoir and they clapped and had a bit of a laugh. They are great fun and very helpful.
