Of Mrs M. Thought l'd defrost the fridge. Have been trying to run the freezer down for a couple of weeks. Shop wasn't open today so timing was so perfect.
Turned it off, emptied it out and left the door open to speed up the defrosting process. Oh didn't mention the freezer of the shop fridge is down the bottom and the fridge is on top.
Went into Monbulk to do a couple of jobs. When l got home started reversing into the carport, the fridge is on the side l was reversing into. (I had some poles propped between said fridge and the shelving, at some point one of the poles had fallen down and wedged against the open freezer door.) I was using the pole as a guide and was reversing slowly when BANG, l hit something. My mirrors distort the distance and make things look further away or closer l don't know which. But the long and the short of it is the rear end of the car hit the bottom door or pole or something. I quickly slammed to car into drive and moved forward. When l got out of the car l discovered that l have ripped both the doors off the fridge.
I am going away on Monday, no time to go out and buy a new fridge. The fridge in the kitchen will be moved into the carport so the girls will have milk for their coffees during Sewing Circle. And we will go fridge shopping when l get home.
I actually have done very little damage to the car considering.... And you know the worse thing about this, there is no way l can blame this onto 50 Shades. They just don't make fridges like they use to.
