The Monbulk Quilt Show is done and dusted for another year. Looks like we may have broken our record for the Monbulk CFA, l will let you know how we went when l get the final figure.
Viewers Choice..... First prize for Viewer's Choice goes to the Macclesfield Craft Group for their ANZAC Centenary Quilt. It was a stunning quilt, will post a pic as soon as l get a chance. Second prize went to Bev Bannard. Bev's quilt was designed by Mary Manakee. It was the large quilt just near the exit door using all repro fabrics. It looks lovely on my bed. Only joking Bev. And third prize for Viewer's Choice went to Coral Cunningham, one of my Wednesday Sewing Circle girls. It was a McKenna Ryan quilt called In Full Bloom. Three very worthy winners but l must say that all the quilts were beautiful, we had beginners through to the very experienced quilters which is what l love about our show.
I would also like to share the winners of our raffle. First prize went to Kerrie, that's all the info l have, so will have to wait for her to visit the shop and see who it is. For all the Kerrie's who think they may be the lucky winner l can put you out of your misery, we rang on Saturday afternoon. So if you didn't get that call, then it wasn't you.
We have many 32 other winners and what we'll do is when you come to claim your prize you get to pick what you want out of the green tub. I am only going to mention names, you need to be able to tell me your phone number when you claim your prize. You will need to visit the shop to collect. Beryl Dalton, Elly, Margaret Allan, Stephan W, Lucy, D Brooks, Carol Lee, M Hueston, Mary, Mandy Fotheringham, Barbara, K Ross: 3 prizes, Draffin, Trudi, Pete fro the Monbulk Butchers, Jab Breen, Julie Coulson, Pam Richardson, Kerry Eustace, Coral, Susan Creighton, Anne Burrows, Mick: 3 prizes, Sarah Spencer, Melissa Walton, Merryn Van Brennan, Y Grant and Rachel Edyvane. I will give it a couple of days for blog readers to touch base with me, then l will call those who l haven't heard from.
The prizes are all quilting type prizes, so if you don't want to claim it, it will go back in the tub and l will sell them throughout the year, the money raised will be donated to the CFA in 2016.
Thank you to every one who bought tickets, l believe we raised around $1500 for the quilt. A big thank you the ladies on the raffle table. I don't think anyone got passed them without buying a ticket or a handful of tickets. And that was the reason we had those particular ladies on that table. Thanks girls.
