The question on everyone's lips..... I love ric rac and sell it in all colours and sizes, my fav would have to be the linen ric rac. Have never known how you measure the width of the different ric racs until now.
Great to use when doing embroidery, simply run through your printer, press onto your background fabric and start stitching.
Then simply remove by submerging in warm water, agitate for 2 - 3 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
Is tomorrow. Have just watched an interview on TV and one of the reasons we have this day is to try to stop discrimination against guide dogs. I cannot believe that in this day and age people are not aware that guide dogs are allowed to go wherever their owner.....for want of a better word, wants to go.
Please note, guide dogs are more than welcome in Mrs Martin's Quilt Shop and l promise to resist the urge to give them a pat.
Those of you who read regularly know l love to write, but sometimes the days seem too short and the To Do list seems too long, but for the moment l think l am on top of things. Have almost finished filling the orders from the recent Soiree.
Grabbed a couple of these patterns at the Soiree, this quilt is called Snowflake Season and was popular with the ladies so thought you might like it too.
A mate and l went to have a pedicures. We sat soaking our feet waiting out turn. In walked a young woman and a burly bloke, sporting a couple of tatts and wearing stubbie shorts....nothing wrong with that, l am just trying to set the scene. He had his pedi, the works minus the pretty nail polish. Turns out he has them regularly. They are just mates and she is happy to go with him if he shouts, which he does.
Offered 50 Shades the same deal and he's not the slightest bit interested.
On Sunday Ray and l lost a good mate totally unexpectedly. Garry went into hospital just before Easter for wrist surgery. In on Tuesday night, operated on Wednesday and home on Thursday. He was readmitted over Easter with an infection, another op required, Garry suffered a heart attack, there were other complications, for a week his family have kept a bedside vigile.
On Sunday night we got the call, Garry lost his fight, he was surrounded by his family.
Garry was a lovely man, he loved the Bombers, in fact we believe he may have been responsible for the winning goal kicked on Sunday, he loved horse racing and he loved the Log Cabin Ranch. Bu most of all Garry loved his family. He was a brilliant husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Two weeks ago today he arrived in his MG, another one of his loves, came to have a chat, he was well known for his chats and to check up on our new deck.
We didn't know it but that was the last time we'd see Garry.
Those of you who came to my Quilt Camps actually know Garry, he and his wife Jenny own the Log Cabin Ranch.
This has been a very sad week. Our love goes out to Jenny, Kate, Mark, Kent Courtney, Harry and little Teddy.
