Christmas was a little different this year and anyone who knows me knows l don't like change! Found out several weeks before that Ray's brother and his family had decided to have a quiet Christmas at home. We have always celebrated Christmas together, so this one was going to be different.
However once l started planning the meal and the decs went up it started to feel a lot like Christmas. Tom, Sam and Annie came up of Christmas eve. We had a lovely casual dinner and exchanged presents. We breakfasted with friends, the Meyers and the Martin's have taken it in turns to host Christmas breakfast for years. My daughter in laws parents and Ray's sisters joined us for lunch. The kids stayed Christmas night and didn't leave until after lunch on Boxing Day.
I have to be honest it was a lovely lovely Christmas. I have a lot to be grateful for, I am finally beginning to realise that change isn't always a bad thing!
