Had an email from a friend who had just read about Stitching at St George's which is being held on June 21st. She is coming to camp in Spring but lives too far away to pop over for our stitching day. Her suggestion - Cyber Stitching. She reminded me that many women live too far away from shops to be involved in days like this and so we are going to try to make things easier for those ladies.
Here's how it will go. Let me know if you'd like to be involved. There may be a group of you who gather or you may be on your own. Prior to the day you will receive your goodie bag in the mail, filled with the same bits and pieces that the ladies who attend in person receive. I will also let you now how our day will be organised. That way you can sit down at morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea the same time we do. We may be able to email each other to see how you day is going and let you know what we are up to.
This year the projects will be based around Anni Downs new stitching book. Gail Pan has also designed a project. The rest of the kit is a surprise but l promise you they will be great value for money, they always are.
The cost for the day is (inc GST).....AUD$60.00 . I have deducted the cost for hall hire and catering. Postage will be added but I will need to know where you live before l can work that out.
I thought it was a great idea. Thank you Lorraine for your suggestion. If any other ladies have ideas please just email them to me and we'll see what we can do.
What a fantastic idea! I would love to be part of this. I so envy you all having times like this where you get together. I just spent the weekend at a retreat here in NSW with Leanne beasley & Rosie Quinlan and what a fantastic time we all had.
So count me in on this please, if it goes ahead!

this sounds like a great idea. I've been following with interest as the other ladies have signed up - just wondering if you have a rough idea of what the postage would be to New Zealand for this, before I fully commit myself to participating
